ABOUT
I grew up by the sea on the Sussex Coast, moving to London to study and begin a 7 year career as a Print Designer in Luxury Fashion. I live and work in South London, right by the River Thames.
I began selling Giclée art prints at the end of 2020, introducing my (now) signature Ric Rac design. I'm inspired by the playful vintage trim I’ve always loved and a lean towards graphic, yet romantic aesthetics I love using rich colours and particularly pink and red!
As a print and textile designer I work mainly in inks, they allow me to draw with a free hand and vary the intensity of the colours I use. I've designed for digital print, screen print and rotary as well as embroidery motifs, knitwear and jacquards.
Floral prints have been a strength throughout my career, I've honed a delicate painterly style that brings boldness through my use of colour. Checks, stripes and unusual colour combinations are my signature, alongside romantic floral print design.
All of my prints have brush marks, wobbly lines and the tonal qualities of the original artwork. I'm available for freelance design projects and special commissions. If you have a project you'd like to discuss, please send an email to info@sarahgoodwindesign.com and I will be in touch. A selection of my print design portfolio can be viewed here.
I produce all my giclée prints in the UK, keeping transportation to a minimum and to support other British small businesses. Sustainable practice is a top priority and I'm proud to sell pieces made in England. All my Giclee prints are printed on paper made in Somerset. The beautiful cotton velvet paper you will see, is made at a truly special mill that has been traditionally milling paper since the 1700s!
